PUTTING FAMILY WAGE JOB CREATION FIRST

Senator Tim Knopp has a proven record of fighting for Oregon's small businesses. Tim successfully created private sector jobs as a small business owner. Now he helps Central Oregonians build and find affordable housing and a home of their dreams. He understands the challenges small business owners face, fighting government regulations and red tape. He opposed expensive mandates that will cost small businesses nearly $2 billion every year. Tim has consistently fought against higher taxes and fees on working Oregon families. Rebuilding Oregon’s middle class with family wage jobs is his first priority.

SUPPORTING SENIORS AND VETERANS

Tim has consistently protected medical deductions for seniors and will work to restore access to affordable, quality medical services for our citizens. He also believes we must keep our commitment to honor our veterans who have paid for our freedom through their courage and sacrifice.

CHAMPIONING PERS REFORM

With PERS liabilities exceeding $20 billion and expecting to cost local governments and school districts millions over the next decade, Tim proposed fair and sustainable constitutional reforms to PERS to prevent teacher layoffs, larger class sizes, and fewer public safety officials while protecting retirees.

Tim helped pass bi-partisan legislation that protects our privacy regarding our email, cell phones, social media, health care and education records.

FIGHTING FOR EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, PARENTAL CHOICE AND LOCAL CONTROL

Educated in Oregon's public schools, Tim has led the effort to fully fund education in Oregon and lower class sizes and increase graduation rates. He has also championed efforts to increase choice in our education system, leading a bipartisan effort to continue to allow parents to choose the school that best fits their child's needs.
